Just a face in the crowd book

Just a face in the crowd is a journey through time written by Roger Horwood, a life-long football fan and Stoke City supporter. Spanning seven decades, Roger's stories feature many of Stoke's greatest heroes - including of course Sir Stanley Matthews, Gordon Banks, Alan Hudson, and more - plus his memories of seeing George Best, Bobby Charlton and other icons of the game. Alongside Stoke's old Victoria Ground, Roger recalls games at Vale Park, Maine Road, Anfield, Old Trafford, Molineux and other great stadiums.

A donation from each book sold will go to the Sir Stanley Matthews Coaching Foundation.
